Clowning For Children
In the best traditions of clowning for children, the joke is always on us! Our clown characters can be modified according to the age of the children involved; from traditional clowns in full make up and costume to more modern clowns with less make up, and funky costumes, for younger children and those who are likely to be nervous of clowns.
We also offer a special program for children who are afraid of clowns where we arrive in ordinary clothes etc, and gradually turn into clowns during the show - the children get to see make up applied, costumes put on etc, and understand that a clown is just a person inside!
Clown shows can be themed depending on a child's particular interests for a party, or an educational requirement for a school, library or other organisation. Clowning with audience participation can be an excellent way to introduce or reinforce educational messages, and used to great effect during Book Week, for school holiday activities or just to support a curriculum objective.

Regardless of the theme of our show, we never rely on jokes at the children's expense for laughs; our bumbling clowns often need the help of an assistant from the audience to get it right, and the children perform much of the magic themselves. All of our assistants receive a diploma of clown magic and a special gift for helping us out.
